I hope you’re having a wonderful summer. If life gets too fast, too loud, or too hectic, take a break and be good to yourself or someone else…Here are some I’ve tried recently:
Take 1 minute, sit with your eyes closed and inhale and exhale 10 times…all it takes is a minute…1 minute.
Treat yourself to a favorite beverage with your next meal.
Go for a walk outside. Look at the trees, the grass, the sun and the sky… feel the air against your skin.
Read a newspaper or magazine.
Walk across the street and spend 5 minutes with a neighbor.
Observe a young person interacting with their Mother, Father, Grandmother or Grandfather.
The next time you’re driving your car, give someone else the right of way, even when you don’t have to…with safety in mind of course.
Start a conversation by complimenting someone you see in your travels.
Pick up the phone and call someone you haven’t spoken to in a month or more.
Enjoy the day!
